iPhone 11 And iphone 11 Max Pro Review

iPhone 11 And iphone 11 Max Pro  Review

Hello, everyone! So I just got something in the mail from Apple. What could it be? All right. So, And no I'm not wearing green because of the new color on the iPhone 11 Pro. That just my favorite color. Now before we get started, full disclaimer that all three iPhones were sent to us by Apple for review purposes only. Hey there,

I'm Alejandro and today I'm going to review three products: the iPhone 11, the 11 Pro, and the 11 Pro Max. Then there's the cameras, but we'll get to that later. And for the purpose of this review, I'm going to film each segment with the phones themselves because one of the biggest things to review here are the new cameras and that's what people are going to be upgrading the phones for. Now I personally don't think people should be upgrading phones every year.

But if you're a few models behind or really think the new phone will change your day to day then Now we'll start with the most basic of the three. Although calling this phone basic is a disservice.

I should instead say that This is such a pretty phone it's such a pretty color, such a pretty finish. And if you have the iPhone 10 R then you'll be used to this size and weight. It's the exact same dimensions it's a and the colors now come in, what is it? Purple, yellow, green, which — Apple is extremely specific about what they call the products, the colors they use, and what not. So it's, like, not black, it's Space Gray. They all have very specific names. And it was interesting to find out that these three new colors are actually green, purple, and yellow. Which, this is not any green.

This is Mint Green, foam green? A seafoam green? pastel green? I don't know, I'm just surprised that Apple is not calling it something other than green and purple should be lavender and yellow should be canary. It's just interesting. Just a little side note that is completely irrelevant. However, I'm really excited to try out the wide and ultrawide cameras because you know you're supposed to be able to capture more with them. For those

All right. So I'm going to show you the wide and the ultrawide by looking at my plants. So let's do it. OK. So that's the regular wide shot that you would typically see in the iPhone 10, iPhone 10s. But when you hit the ultrawide button. You see how it captures way way more, it just zooms out. All right. So that is how it works. I think right now I'm on the ultrawide, so you're seeing my whole apartment. The one thing that I did notice about the ultra wide camera is that when I take photos sometimes the photos look distorted. Like, just stretched out. Kind of, similar to if I were to be taking the photo with the fish eye lense. It just kind of seems like there's this bubble.

Another great camera feature we're finally getting this nightmode, which Apple is very late in delivering. So before getting the iPhone 11 I would always carry two phones when I went out at night to take pictures. Especially when I was traveling and sightseeing I would take my Pixel 3 to capture the true essence of landmarks at night. It has an amazing nightmode. But now with the iPhone 11, I no longer have to carry two phones. So I'm gonna give you a real life example of the capability of nightmode with both phones right now.

But first I want you to see this area with the iPhone 10S. So now that we know how dark it is, let's put them to the test. So on my right in the iPhone 11 and on my left is the Google Pixel 3 and you could see that the iPhone 11 is a bit warmer and the Pixel is a bit more cold. OK but when we look at the photos. I'd say that the iPhone 11 is more true to the colors. But they're both equally as bright and clear. When in reality its way darker. The best thing about the iPhone 11 is that it's the cheapest of any iPhone in the last three years That's $300 less than the iPhone 11 Pro. And it's also $50 cheaper than what the iPhone 10 R started at when it launched in 2018. All right. So I I'm going to I'm about to switch phones.

I've been using the iPhone 11 for a few days now and I think it's great. I think if you're considering getting an iPhone 11 or if you're in between that and the iPhone 11 pro, it's essentially the same phone. You're going to get faster processors, you're still going to get the wide and ultrawide camera, you're gonna get extended battery life, you are gonna ger nightmode, and you're going to be able to to fully experience the best of iOS 13 on both phones, the main difference I'd sayis the telephoto lens.

With all that being said let's talk about the Pro. All right so I'm getting ready to switch over to the iPhone 11 Pro. But before I do that I want to do a little test —two phones stand before me. One of them is the iPhone 11 Pro and the other one is the iPhone XS. Can you guess which is which by looking at the display? That's probably gonna be hard. Because if you look at the display they look identical. Obviously if I turn them around you will know which is which. But that's just to say that the iPhone X and XS are the exact same dimensions as the 11 Pro. Really,

look I can put them right on top of each other. I must say that the 11 Pro is a bit heavier. The 11 Pro has been my favorite model of the three. Mostly because of the new midnight green color, and the smaller 5.8-inch display. But mostly it's the green. First impression on this phone is that it's beautiful the new midnight green is stunning. And the back is supposed to be scratch resistant,

which you know I'm a little scared to test. I always protect my phones to, to the max. So I'm really scared of just going around without a case. The new A13 bionic chip in it also makes it very fast and smooth to use. You'll notice immediately how much quicker you can play games and switch between apps. Even the speed in which the camera opens and starts recording is quicker. But the feature we really have to talk about here is the added telephoto lens to the 11 Pro. Apologies in advance for those of you who suffer from tryopophobia,

which is the fear of a bunch of cluster holes or bumps. And I know it was a real thing when the phone was first announced because of the three lenses on the back being so close together. So just a quick trigger warning, I will be showing the lenses on the back a lot. All right so I am walking over to my window to test out the telephoto lens, which is insane.

Also , in case you're wondering, yes I did cut my hair in the middle of making this review. So this is the new look. Anyways back to the zoom. Now I'm going show you the reach the telephoto lens has, which again, is insane. So this this is the normal view. This is with the ultrawide. And now I'm going to show you the power of the telephoto lens so.

I'm going to zoom in . And here I am, fully zoomed in. that gives you more range with your photos. Meaning you can sit in the nosebleeds and still get a decent shot of your favorite artist on stage— like I did. Now the specs on the front facing camera and two other wide cameras on the back are the same as the iPhone 11. The front facing camera is amazing. Now it has slow motion capability so you could have a slow motion selfie, which Apple is trying to coin this new term called I don't think they'll stick but I've used it more than I should already.

So I guess it's it's going somewhere. But yeah, let me show you how that works. Hey. The 11 Pro also comes which is a USB-C to lightning cord that will charge your phone way faster than the lightning-to-lightning cord that comes with the regular iPhone 11 and all previous models. You'll get more than 50% battery life in under 30 minutes of charging. If you have an iPhone, whatever, whichever iPhone you have— obviously not the first generation— you are familiar with this cube and the USB to lightning cord cable. So the iPhone 11 has this charger.

But if you get an iPhone 11 Pro or a Pro Max, you're going to get this new charger, which is USB-C to lightning cord. And let me tell you it charges your phone way faster. It's it's quick, it's fast. And while we're on the topic of charging let me say that my favorite thing of these new phones, by far, is the new battery.

I'm ready to leave my apartment and I charged my phone to 100% battery. And so one of my main missions with reviewing the 11 Pro is finding out how long the battery lasts. Apple claims that it will last a whole day. I wanna know exactly how many hours are in this day that Apple claims it lasts. It's the next day and I'm reporting back to find out how much battery I have left after 24 hours of using my phone.

I'm using my phone for taking photos, recording, listening to music non-stop, playing games, being on social media all day, text messaging, calling friends and family for hours. And guess what? My battery is still at 30%. I charged it earlier last week, I did not document this, but I am pretty sure it lasted 27 hours. I am not exaggerating.

So these new phones can survive. Now you'll get an improved battery life with all 3 models. But if you want the best camera quality then go Pro. which is not a lot to start with given all the information we store on our phones nowadays.

I've been using the iPhone 11 Pro with 512 GB of storage, which is a lot. But I always like getting the most storage in hopes that my phone will last more than two years. There's not a whole lot to add here other than it's the exact same phone as 11 Pro but with a and the inability to fit in most pant pockets. All right. So now I'm on to the 11 Pro Max. Which it's just too big.

I mean it's bigger than my face. Bigger than the 11 and it's bigger than the 11 Pro. Last time I had a phone like this, it was the iPhone 7 Plus, which was I think the first time they did phablet and I fell down three flights of stairs, extremely steep stairs.

When I landed at the bottom of the stairs, my phone was literally bent in half. Then again that phone was known to do that. This one, will find out. I had it in the back of my, of my pocket— my jean pocket. Because it doesn't fit in the front pocket and there's no other way.

You always have to hold it. It's just too inconvenient. I don't see anyone needing a phone this big. But if you want a new iPhone that arguably falls under the phablet category, then this one's for you. It has the same camera specs, a great battery life, and a nice finish. But And  So if you're looking to upgrade to the iPhone 11, it's not much of a surprise, but it's a great phone to get.

And in case you were wondering I waited till the very end to do this because, just in case they're not waterproof I didn't want to screw up the entire review. Apple claims that all three phones are water-resistant. Not waterproof, water resistant. There's a difference. So I'm just going to do a small experiment here and I am gonna drop them in the water, which is truly crazy. One is on and I would never do this 5 years ago. Maybe with a Samsung, but with an Apple iPhone. Absolutely not. Siri is even functioning under water, which is insane. Anyways they're perfectly fine. I just dipped $3,000 worth into water and everything's fine.  But really for their basic needs Just stick with one of these. I just— these are too many phones.
